bunnies eating corn leaves

My bunnies love corn leaves. After we harvested the corn this year I began feeding my bunnies the leaves. They love them. They love both the green and dried leaves. I have been picking them a bunch every day.

My daughters husky puppy says if they are good enough for the bunnies, they are good enough for her. I layed this bunch down and before I could get out my camera(a samsung flip shot phone)she pounced on them(I think she's half cat).
Yes, her eyes really are that blue!

pearl angora baby bunnies

the new babies, born on June 5, 2009:
The new babies belong to Annabelle, my Pearl English Angora. She has 2 that I believe will be pearls, 1 that looks like it will be a fawn, and 1 that looks white, but does not have ruby eyes, it may be a lighter colored pearl. I do not have an English buck yet so I bred Annabelle to my french Angora Jack. I have read that angora does should be bred before they are a year old. Annabelle was a year old this month. I also have my other English angora doe, Princess DyeAnna bred with Jack. she also turned 1 year old this month.

rabbit weeds and other plants they love

I feed my rabbits a variety of weeds. I never add more than 1 or 2 new weeds or plants to a rabbits diet per week and I always start with small amounts. I am feeding my rabbits wild blackberry leaves and dandelion leaves and flowers presently. I am also feeding them rose bush trimmings and will soon be feeding them roses also(they love them). I grow turnip greens and collard greens for them every spring and fall. They also love green peppers, so I grow alot of those(I love them too). I have some dried sweet potatoes that I am going to introduce to them today. When I eat bananas they always get the peels. I have alot of bermuda grass that grows in my yard, I don't feed it to them green, I let it grow to 12 inches high and then I cut it near ground level and dry it in the sun. As soon as it is dry I store it in a dry area out of the sunlight, it stays a pretty green color that way. I read that sow thistle is a good weed for them, I may add a little bit of that to their diet this week. My goal is to have them eating a completely organic diet. I am getting close.

angora buck

This is Bibbles, my German Angora buck. He was named by my 4 year old grandaughter. She was thrilled when I told her that I liked that name. I will breed him with my 2 English Angora does within the next 2 weeks since I do not have and English Angora buck yet. He has English and Satin Angora in his pedigree. He is a real sweetheart, and has gorgeous silky wool.
